About
Tourism Insights Lab
Tourism Insights Lab was founded on a simple belief: better tourism decisions start with understanding what is actually happening.
We combine research, data analysis, guest perspectives and on-the-ground observation to help tourism and hospitality organizations uncover blind spots, challenge assumptions and make more informed decisions.
Why TIL exists
Tourism is often marketed through its best moments. The perfect room. The perfect beach. The perfect experience.
But what is promised and what is actually delivered are not always the same.
Tourism Insights Lab was created to look beyond the surface.
We believe meaningful improvement starts by asking better questions: What are guests actually experiencing? What patterns exist in the data? Where does perception differ from reality? What is being overlooked from inside the organization?
Our role is to investigate those questions and turn the findings into practical recommendations.

Our Approach
We don´t begin with assumptions, we begin with questions.
Every project is approached according to the question or challenge being investigated. Depending on the research question, this may involve quantitative analysis, surveys, interviews, guest reviews, user-generated content, competitor research, operational data or on-site observations.
Where possible, we combine multiple sources of evidence to understand not only what is happening, but why.
Our findings are then translated into clear recommendations designed to support better decisions across tourism strategy, guest experience, operations, and positioning.

What We Believe

Evidence before assumptions.
Good recommendations begin with understanding the full picture.
Promise should match reality.
Tourism businesses build trust when the experience they deliver reflects what they communicate.
Travelers are part of the data.
Reviews, behavior, feedback and lived experiences can reveal what traditional performance metrics overlook.

Yield Analytics
Analyzing performance data to assess efficiency, impact, and revenue potential, supporting stronger decision-making and long-term growth.
Tourism works better together.
Businesses, destinations, travelers and local communities are interconnected. Long-term tourism success should recognize all four.
